Far East Organization Children’s Garden - Gardens by the Bay

The children’s garden offers a range of play features suitable for two groups of children, one to five years old and six to twelve years old.

The garden consists of Water Play area, Rainforest Tree Houses and an adventure trail suitable for six to twelve years old; Toddler Play Zone and Toddler Playground suitable for one to five years old.

At Toddler Play area, toddlers will be able to play with swings, slides, spring jumps and riders. The fish fountain is actually part of the Toddler Play area too, a colourful, interactive play space fitted with water tunnels and delightful fish sculptures where toddlers will be able to run around while splashing and giggling. Toddler Play area is small and enclosed where parents can stand back and let toddlers explore independently.

Outdoor Playgrounds in East

Coastal PlayGrove (East Coast Park)

Coastal PlayGrove is one of the newest outdoor playgrounds in Singapore and is located along the coast near East Coast Park. It has a play tower, water play area, nature play garden, outdoor classroom by the sea, retail and dining options.


The play tower is Singapore's tallest outdoor play feature – it is 16 metres high - with a 4 storey vertical net play area and long tube slides on the third and fourth floor that are 7.3 metres and 11.9 metres tall (suitable for older children 13 years old and above). At the water play area, children will be able to splash about in pools with many water jets. (suitable for children 5 to 12 years old). At the Nature Playgarden, children will be able to play in an environment immersed in nature with tunnel trails, teepee hideouts, log trails, and sand pits.


Its nearby amenities include washing area, toilets, seating around the play area, a sheltered amphitheatre to take a break between plays and a café where parents can get snacks and drinks for themselves and toddlers.

Marine Cove Playground (East Coast Park)

Marine Cove Playground is one of the largest outdoor playgrounds in Singapore and it is located at East Coast Park. It offers a range of play features suitable for children from the ages of one to twelve years old.


It has an 8 m lighthouse-like tower with three slides, a rope bridge and climbing net structures. It also has toddler play areas such as swings, spinning wheels, crazy mirrors, slides, a little grass maze, brightly-coloured talking tubes and drums to explore sound and music.

It is not sheltered, hence the best timing to go is early morning or late afternoon and it can get very crowded on weekends.

Its nearby amenities include children toilets and showers, a variety of dining options such as MacDonald’s, The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf etc.

Outdoor Playground in North Yishun N8 Park Treehouse Playground

Yishun N8 Park Treehouse Playground is located next to HomeTeamNS Khatib. It has three sets of interconnected and colourful playhouses on stilts and lots of green spaces where families and children can gather together.


It is divided into two sections which are next to one another.

The smaller section has a set of playhouses and some hammocks.

The larger main section has two sets of playhouses, play features such as trampolines, swings and tunnels and lots of space for children to move around freely.

The playhouses has different heights to accommodate different climbing abilities among children.

Younger children can start at the lowest playhouse set.

Children have to climb up nets or poles to get to the playhouses, make their way through the net bridges before enjoying a slide back down.

West Coast Park Playground

West Coast Park Playground is one of the largest outdoor playgrounds in Singapore. It offers a range of play features suitable for children from the ages of one to twelve years old.

At Toddler Zone, there is a fire engine and percussion wall, sandpits galore where parents needs to bring buckets and spades along, two ships, slide and swings.

At Blue Slides Zone, it has gigantic climbing frame and slide, zip lines, an assault course and balancing beams galore for older children to explore and play.
